Description | The Gunnison Copper Project is a large-scale, long-life copper mining project located in the Cochise Mining District, Arizona, USA. It involves open-pit mining and heap leach SX/EW processing to produce 99.999% pure copper cathode onsite, aimed at supplying the United States energy, data center, manufacturing, and defense supply chains. The project has a life of mine of 21 years with an average annual copper cathode production of 174 million pounds for the first 15 years and robust economic metrics including a post-tax NPV8 of approximately US$2.0 billion and an IRR of 22.5%. |
