Information Water Resources Department, Govt. of A.P has come up with Guru Raghavendra Development Project with a ticket size of 590.08 INR Crores. This project in Irrigation sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Completion Certificate/COD and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project GURU RAGHAVENDRA PROJECT The reduction in Tungabhadra Reservoir capacity due to siltation and in-sufficiency of the canal design adopting higher duty is the main cause for not receiving benefits under low level canal system ayacut mostly at the tail ends of the distributaries. In order to bridge the gap ayacut and to protect the interest of the state, the Guru Raghavendra Project is formulated to lift 5.373 TMC of water from Tungabhadra River during Khariff to bridge a gap ayacut of 50,000 acres -10,000acres Wet and 40,000 acres I.D- under TBP LLC System Accordingly to utilize 5.373 TMC of water, the Government have accorded permission in phased manner as per requirement of water depending on funds availability for the following individual LI Schemes which are part of GRP Vide GO.Ms.No.132 dated 22.08.2003 for four L.I.Schemes administrative approval was accorded for Rs.58.71 Crores a. Chilakaladona L.I.Scheme b. Pulachinta L.I.Scheme c. Mugaladoddi L.I.Scheme d. Soganuru L.I.Scheme . Vide GO.Ms.No.53 dated 23.03.2005 for three L.I.Schemes administrative approval was accorded for Rs.65.21 Crores a. Duddi L.I.Scheme b. Madhavaram L.I.Scheme c. Basaladoddi L.I.Scheme . Vide GO.MS.No.5 dated 10.01.2008 for Pulikanuma L.I.Scheme administrative approval was accorded for Rs.261.19 Crores . Vide G.O.Ms No:52 dated 09.08.2011 for Pulakurthy LI Scheme-administrative approval was accorded for Rs.119.95 Crs The all LI Schemes are completed and commissioned Benefitted Constituencies and Mandals: 9 Mandals in 3 constituencies. .Yemmignur- Nandavaram, Yemmiganur .
