Description | Air Products has been awarded a contract with the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies (UPES) in India, to build the country’s first solar-powered renewable hydrogen fuelling station. The station is scheduled to be onstream in July 2013. Air Products’ hydrogen fuelling technology and infrastructure will be part of a mass public transit bus fuelling and vehicle demonstration programme administered by UPES. The station, which will generate hydrogen using solar energy via an electrolyser, will be located at the Solar Energy Centre in Gwalpahari, near Delhi. |
