A trommel machine segregates wet and dry waste, sending 125 to 150 tons of dry waste daily to cement companies. The depot operates on a 28-acre open ground owned by Pune Cantonment Board (PCB). The Bombay High Court refused to relocate the depot but instructed immediate cessation of dumping on the open ground, regular bio-culture spraying, shifting trommel machines indoors or to another location, and strict implementation of separate wet and dry waste collection rules. |
