Description | The project involves the construction of Hainan Dongfang Waste-to-energy Plant, located in Dongfang City, Hainan province of China. The project has a designed daily household waste processing capacity of 1,200 tonnes (438,000 tonnes/year) and will be constructed in 2 phases. The 1st phase of plant will be equipped with two 400 tonnes/day grate furnaces and one set of 18 MW turbine power generator. The sponsor China Everbright international Ltd signed a 30-year concession agreement under BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) model. The concession period includes the construction as well. The project cost is approximately CNY 520 million or $ 77.39 million and includes the investment of the shared facilities for phase II of the project.
