Description | In July 2003, China Evergreen Environmental Corporation (CEEC), later renamed to China Water Group, Inc., was awarded a 22-year BOT contract for the 20,000 tons of sewerage per day Haiyang Wastewater Treatment Plant in Shandong Province. To implement the contract, the Hai Yang City Sheng Shi Environment Protection Company Limited was created as the project company in which CEEC held a 90% stake while the state-owned partner held the remainder. CEEC was a private wastewater engineering company based out of Guangzhou Province. Total investment was RMB 30 million (US$3.6 million).
