Economic/Social Impact of the Project HPCL is presently transporting LPG through Tank Trucks from Hindustan AEGIS LPG Ltd, Haldia to various bottling plants in West Bengal,Bihar and Jharkhand. In order to efficiently transport LPG to HPCL LPG Bottling Plant, Panagarh and for catering LPG demands of West Bengal, Bihar & Jharkhand by onward transportation and distribution through Road. Haldia Panagarh Pipeline project was approved by HPCL board with Cost of 1010 Cr and scheduled completion by 08.11.2025. Project involves laying of 10” dia Pipeline (approx. Length 215 Kms) from Haldia to Panagarh in the state of West Bengal. This pipeline will have LPG fed from Hindustan AEGIS LPG Ltd (HALL) with LPG dispatch /pumping Station inside premises of existing HPCL Haldia Terminal and receiving station at existing HPCL Panagarh LPG Bottling Plant along with SV/CP/IPS Stations with associated facilities en-route. Hindustan AEGIS LPG Ltd. Salient features of the project are Dispatch Station with Booster and Mainline Pumps at Haldia terminal, 215 Km Pipeline with enroute 15 nos. of SVs/BVs and 1 Intermediate pigging station traversing through 5 districts in the state West Bengal i.e., Purba Medinipur, Paschim Medinipur, Hooghly, Bankura & Purba Bardhaman. Pipeline Design throughput including common carrier capacity is 1.45 MMTPA. Pipeline Receipt Station with connection to Mounded Storage Vessels at Panagarh LPG Bottling Plant.
