Description | Arizona Public Service (APS) plans to build a new substation at the Halo Vista master plan site near Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.'s (TSMC) plant in north Phoenix. The substation will support future power needs in the area, initially supporting 230-kilovolt underground transmission lines for TSMC's expanding $165 billion plant. APS acquired 54.85 acres of vacant land within the Halo Vista site for $25 million to facilitate this project. The substation is critical infrastructure to support the area's projected growth over the next five to 20 years and will bring significant power capacity to support job creation, business investment, and community vitality. |
