Haut et Court is an independent production and distribution company, founded in 1992, and dedicated to creating cinema of the highest quality. Building on a long experience, notably through film distribution, we have been able to develop a wide network of international and local partners that has made Haut et Court a key player in the global market. We now aim to produce three or four feature films a year, including two French productions and two international coproductions. Haut et Court’s ambition is to produce distinctive feature films conceived to be highly original, independent, and appealing to a wide audience. We are submitting five projects: • Elle a menti pour les ailes by Simon Bouisson, written by Simon Bouisson and Victor Rodenbach • Tarfaya by Sofia Alaoui, written by Sofia Alaoui and Malysone Bovorasmy • Animals by Fabienne Berthaud, written by Fabienne Berthaud and Pascal Arnold • Les Cordistes by David André, written by David André and Violette Garcia • Souraya by Joana Hadjithomas and Khalil Joreige, written by Joana Hadjithomas, Khalil Joreige and Gaëlle Macé Tarfaya, Elle a Menti pour les Ailes and Les Cordistes are debut feature films directed by some of the most promising French talents with a strong artistical and commercial potential. Souraya and Animals, on the other hand, represent the continuation of our collaboration with major authors of international cinema on more ambitious projects whose vocation is to cross borders. All different in terms of tone, style or scope, these five projects reflect our objectives to work with the most innovative creative partners, to support cultural diversity and to strengthen our place on the European market. More than ever, MEDIA’s help is paramount in supporting our commitment to creation, while keeping our independence, in an extremely competitive and global market.
