Hampshire EV infrastructure project

The project involves the large-scale deployment of public electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across Hampshire, England, with the aim of improving access to convenient charging for residents, particularly those without off-street parking. Led by Hampshire County Council and delivered in partnership with Believ, the scheme will see the installation of approximately 17,000 public charging sockets in residential streets, community locations, and other suitable areas throughout the county. Supported by funding from the UK Government’s Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) Fund and significant private investment, the project includes the installation, operation, and long-term maintenance of charging facilities to support the transition to low-emission transport, encourage EV adoption, and help meet regional and national sustainability goals.
