Hampton Regional Multipurpose Facility 2023

The project consists of constructing a new 66,700 square feet Multipurpose Facility to be built on a 30-acre parcel of land owned by the Town, located in the William Bell Drive Business Park. The existing arena (23,412 square feet) in Hampton is 44 years old and has reached the end of its life and does not meet the recreational demands of the area. This facility will consist of an ice surface, changing rooms, washrooms, bleachers (656 seats), walking track, one large community room space, leisure services offices, storage areas, as well a lounge and canteen. The facility is wheelchair accessible as it’s equipped with an elevator. This facility will offer hockey, figure skating, speed skating, public skating, walking track, day camps and Canada Day events. (estimated 1,400 users/week). The project will benefit the community of Hampton by providing improved access to and increased quality of community cultural and recreational infrastructure.
