Description | In October 2012, a local private company Sound Group won a bid to upgrade and operate the Hancheng City Wastewater Treatment Plant in Hancheng City, Shaanxi Province. The total investment was US$ 15.81 million (RMB 98 million) and out of it, US$ 3.47 million (RMB 21.51 million) was for upgrading the existing old plant. Construction was completed in September 2013 and then the plant came into operation with a capacity of 25,000 tons per day. Sound Group had a 100% stake in the facility. A special purpose vehicle, Hancheng City Yiqing Water Affairs Company Limited, was set up by Sound to perform the project. |
