The eminent arrival of a new smart card technology to reinforce security is compromised by the software limitations of the existing solution. What’s more, the nearly 10-year-old validation system does not meet the reading speed standards of the initial contract. The aim is to improve the customer experience by speeding up the flow and throughput of boarding, to enable the system to evolve towards new technologies, to potentially offer other payment solutions (QR Code, Credit) and to improve universal accessibility thanks, in particular, to better-located equipment with larger display screens.
