Description | The Hangar District is a major urban redevelopment project led by Northcrest Developments on the former Downsview Airport lands in central Toronto. Covering just over 100 acres and about 5.3 million square feet, the project will include 2,850 residential units, mixed-use, institutional and employment designations, and create about 7,400 new jobs. It will incorporate existing hangars and buildings, create eight acres of parks and open spaces, community amenities, and a pedestrian bridge linking to Downsview Park. The project is projected to break ground in 2026. |
