Haryana Minor Canal Remodelling and Rehabilitation Project

The Haryana government has approved a comprehensive remodelling and rehabilitation plan for about 54 minor canals to strengthen the irrigation system. The project involves strengthening the depth, width, and structure of canals using modern technology to ensure timely and adequate irrigation water supply, reduce dependence on underground water, and address waterlogging issues. The works include strengthening and raising banks, repair and rehabilitation of lining, laying pipelines, and repair of head regulators, siphons, culverts, and outlets.
