Information Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas has come up with Hassan Cherlapalli LPG Pipeline with a ticket size of 2166.38 INR Crores. This project in Oil/Gas/LNG Storage sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Completion Certificate/COD and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project HPCL has taken up the project of laying 649 km, 14? dia Hassan-Cherlapalli LPG Pipeline Project [HCPL] originating from the Intermediate Pigging station [IPS] at Hassan on its existing Mangalore Hassan Mysore Bangalore LPG pipeline to its LPG Bottling plant in Cherlapalli. HPCL Board has approved HCPL Project at an approved cost of Rs 2,166.38 Cr. The pipeline will have one Pump station at Hassan and Tap Off Point [TOP] at HPCL LPG bottling Plant [Anantapur]. The phase 1 Capacity of HCPL is 2.2 MMTPA expandable to 3.1 MMTPA with 2 nos. additional intermediate Pump stations at Anantapur and Wanaparthy. The proposed pipeline will pass through the States of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana. Capacity upgradation of MHMSPL system [Additional pumps at existing Mangalore dispatch station and converting existing Neriya Pigging station & Hassan Pigging station on MHMSPL to intermediate pumping & Pigging stations].
