Description

"The general objective of the project would be to identify and analyse how the hate speech against the ‘ideology of gender’ has been appropriated by extreme right political parties in Europe using the social networks and internet. It also aims to propose which type of legal and public policies the Member States and the European Union can implement to protect the human rights at stake. Specific Objectives: 1. To map where, when and how the extreme right political parties use the hate speech against gender theories through the social networks in the participating countries 2. To analyse the content of this hate speech against gender theories and its political use and justification 3. To identify the national and European legal frameworks to address this type of hate speech 4. To identify and analyse the European and national case law dealing with these cases 5. To identify and study possible self regulations and norms of the social networks where these hate speeches take place 6. To propose legal interventions and public policies to address this type of hate speech Activities: - Analysis of the most important bibliography and studies - Study of the European and national legal framework and public policies - Analysis of the self-regulations of Facebook and Twitter - Qualitative and qualitative analysis of hate speech against gender - A pilot experience on agenda setting Types & number of beneficiaries: 300 stakeholders (academia, gender equality experts, lawyers, LGTBI, local authorities, students victim support services, journalists/media, anti-discrimination experts). Expected results & outputs: 1 Report on the state of the art on hate speech, political parties and ""ideology of gender"" at a European level; 1 Map of the main political parties using hate speech against the ""ideology of gender"" through the social networks in Europe; 1 Legal and non legal proposal to prevent and combat hate speech against gender; 5 workshops; 1 website; 1 Final conference."
