Hatirjheel - Amulia - Demra Expressway

This project consists of construction of an expressway between Dhaka, Narayanganj, Chattogram, Sylhet, and other southern and eastern districts, with total length of 13.5 km. Consortium of China Communication Construction Company (CCCC) and China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) signed a 25-year concession agreement with the Roads and Highways Department (RHD) with an obligation to finance, build, operate and maintain the road. As per the agreement, the government will get the total toll amount, and the consortium will get a certain amount as "availability payment". Total investment of the project stands at $377.53 million, of which the sponsor provides $165.38 million and have already completed negotiating with a Chinese bank to get necessary funds. The reminder $138.23 million will come from the government and will be used for for land acquisition, resettlement, consultancy services, and expenses of the project implementation unit.
