Description | The project will rehabilitate and upgrade the Community Centre in Havelock-Belmont-Methuen, Ontario. The project aims at improving accessibility, delivering enhanced recreational programming, and user experience for the community. The work will involve: o Replacing the entire roof, including eaves, downspouts, steel cladding and flashing for the exterior of the building; o Creating barrier free access to the community centre by installing a new elevator, repaving the parking lot, and upgrading the outdoor community park; o Upgrading the refrigeration ice plant and expanding the building to allow for new spaces for recreational events; and o Reallocating the baseball diamond in another area of the Township on former farmland. The project will enable the community to improve access to cultural, recreational and community infrastructure by modernizing the Community Centre and providing long term programming and recreational activities. |
