Hawkesbury Water Treatment Plant Clarifier Upgrades

The purpose of the project is to upgrade the clarification process in the water treatment plant by replacing deteriorating equipment and providing life-cycle upgrades to other equipment. The scope of the work includes de-commissioning the clarifier and repairing walls, roof, floor slab and framing around it to prevent further leaking and damage to structural component; the replacement of the clarifier with two new ones; structural building upgrades as needed to accommodate new high rate clarifiers; and SCADA modifications for new control system. The Project aims to improve the treated water quality of the water treatment plant, to minimize the risk of boil water advisories, and to ensure the plant meets its design life.
