Description | The Headland Solar Project is a proposed 220-megawatt solar farm located on roughly 1,500 acres in Cohoctah Township and Conway Township in Livingston County, Michigan. The project is developed by Ranger Power, a utility-scale renewable energy development company based in Chicago. The project aims to produce clean, renewable energy and provide economic benefits including over $18 million in new tax revenue. Conway and Cohoctah Townships have agreed to split the cost of reviewing the project, including legal counsel, consultants, studies, and reports, with costs paid from an escrow account funded by Ranger Power. |
