Description
Description | Denmark's goal is to establish a Health Data Access Body (HDAB) that is able to receive, process and respond to data applications and make data from different data owners available on a national analysis platform. This project aims at establishing a setup for the IT infrastructure in order to comply with the EHDS regulation. A central aspect of the national HDAB is to ensure that health data is available and transferable. The project will focus on different aspects in regards to ensuring that Denmark is fit for the implementation of a European Health Data Space and ensure that the national infrastructure can integrate to the central EU infrastructure. An important part of gathering data is establishing metadata catalogues. This project focusses on establishing the foundation for a metadata catalogue which corresponds to the European setup defined in the EHDS-regulation The national organization and infrastructure will contribute to the overall central EU set up, and ultimately contribute to better use of health data for secondary purpose across member states in order to promote research and innovation as well as policy development and decision making in EU. The overall purpose of the project is to begin the precondition activities for various data areas in order to feed into a national metadata catalog in the long term. This preparatory work is important in order to comply with the EHDS-regulation's requirement to establish a national metadata catalogue, which will be able to be integrated with a common European metadata catalogue. Prerequisite activities are for example: Selection of data areas/registers, documentation of registers, marking of metadata, integration between national and European metadata infrastructure. |
