Description | The Health Sector Management Project supports the Government of Slovenia's program to sustain the performance of the health care system, in the face of adverse demographic, and epidemiological trends, and will be implemented by a two phase Adaptable Program Loan. This project, Phase I, provides health purchasing priorities to the Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia, through the adoption of improved business, and case management practices by the participating health providers in the pilot system. The components will: 1) finance technical assistance, and related knowledge management and training practices, in support of thematic working groups, through: a) the revision of payment mechanisms, and reimbursement models for primary, secondary, and tertiary care; b) the support for strengthening health care management, both on institutional, and national levels. The group will focus on the design, and definition of health care capacity management methodology, and practices, and, c) the efficiency improvement in public health networks; 2) establish and promote health information standards, for clinical, economic, statistical, and other information types in the sector; 3) implement health information systems in Slovene health sector institutions, linking these specific systems in an integrated health information system, in support of a set of multi-track systems implementation; and, 4) finance project management, and coordination. |
