The general objective is to support behavioral and social change to build a national culture of health and well-being in Barbados. The specific objectives are: (i) to promote positive social norms and support the integration of healthy lifestyles and mental well-being into everyday life through gender-responsive approaches; (ii) to reorient health care toward prevention, early detection, and resilient continuum of care for non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and mental health through services delivered closer to communities with a focus on reducing gender and disability barriers; (iii) to enhance policy and institutional frameworks that support healthy behaviors and mental well-being; and (iv) to strengthen coordination, communication, and information systems that sustain behavioral change and public trust in the health system.
