Description | The development objective of the Health System Performance Reinforcement Project for Cameroon is to increase utilization and improve the quality of health services with a particular focus on reproductive, maternal, child, and adolescent health and nutrition services. The project comprises of two components. The first component, strengthening of health service delivery consists of three sub-components: (i) payment of performance; (ii) support to the implementation and supervision of performance-based financing; and (iii) additional support for improving access to a key package of reproductive, maternal, neonatal, child, and adolescent health (RMNCAH) and nutrition services. The second component, institutional strengthening for improved health system performance will support institutional strengthening at national, regional, and district levels for improved health system performance. It consists of three sub-components: (i) strengthening institutional capacities for improved health system stewardship, including monitoring and evaluation; (ii) reinforcement of civil registration and vital statistics systems; and (iii) program coordination. |
