The project involves the development, construction and operation of Hebei Xian County Waste-to-energy Plant, located in Xian County, Hebei Province of China. The project will be designed with a daily household waste processing capacity of 600 tonnes (219,000 tonnes/year). It will be equipped with 2 x 300 tonnes/day grate furnaces and a 12MW turbine power generator. It is expected to generate on-grid electricity of approximately 78 million kWh annually. China Everbright International Ltd is one of the sponsors with a 88% stake. The other(s) is/are not disclosed. The concession agreement is for a period of 30 years, which includes the construction period. The project cost is approximately CNY 350 million or $ 49 million.
