Description
Description | Hefei People's Hospital No. 5 is a maternity and pediatric clinic that specializes in the areas of gynecology, neonatology, and prenatal diagnostics, among others. The project involves the construction of a new, modern hospital in the west of the city of Hefei. The new building of the Anhui International Women and Children Medical Center is planned to be completed by the end of 2018 as a building complex with a total gross building area of 140,000 square meters. The project is intended to double the number of beds in the hospital from the current level of around 1,000 to 2,000. As a result, up to 1,200,000 outpatients and 57,000 inpatients can then be treated annually (880,000 outpatients and 33,000 inpatients in 2014). The total cost of the project is expected to be 1.4 billion yuan, or the equivalent of around 200 million euros. A total of 20 million euros of this is to be financed through an FZ subsidy loan. Half of the subsidized loan (EUR 10 million) is to be used to purchase medical equipment. A further EUR 4 million is earmarked for co-financing non-medical and technical systems in the new building complex. The remaining EUR 6 million is to be used to finance construction work in the new West Hospital. The financing is ODA-eligible due to the grant element according to the DAC method of approximately 40%. |
