Single-cycle operation is expected by late 1997 with combined-cycle operation by late 1998. The joint venture company was formed between AES China Generating Co. Ltd. (70%), Anhui Liyuan Electric Power Development Co. Ltd. (20%), and Hefei Municipal Government (10%). Financing for the project closed in October 1996 through two seperate Sino-foreign joint ventures, Anhui Liyuan-AES Power Co. Ltd. and Hefei Zhongli Energy Co. Ltd.. AES ChiGen will invest a total of $37 million in the joint ventures in the form of equity and loans. Anhui Provincial Power Corp. is the turnkey contractor. None None |
