Description | The company serves as the electricity utility for Heilongjiang province. The company sold both "A" and "B" shares in the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 1996 (47.09% of its total equity). It sold 60 million "A" shares (8.56%), raising a total of US$ 7 million in divestiture revenues. It sold 100 million B shares, representing a 38.53% stake raising $67.04 million. The placement was arranged by Shenyin & Wabguo Securities and ING Barings. Shares were issued at US$0.838 each, a 7.9% discount to the day's close of US$0.91. In Dec. 1998, China Prosperity Holdings Ltd. of Hong Kong acquired a stake in the project from an independent third party. None None |
