Description | Erin and Ben Napier, along with their friends and owners Joshua Nowell, Emily Nowell, Mallorie Rasberry, and Jim Rasberry, undertook a major renovation project to remodel the Heirloom Hotel, a former Kress department store that had been empty for 40 years, into a 29-room boutique hotel in Laurel, Mississippi. The hotel was the centerpiece of their HGTV series "Home Town: Inn This Together." The hotel was nearly ready to open in summer 2025, with the store downstairs stocked and the cooking school prepared to host events. However, on August 26, 2025, a fire caused by an electrical issue caused significant fire and water damage, delaying the opening. The timeline for repairs and reopening is currently unknown, pending insurance outcomes. |
