Description | Helios Renewable Energy and Emergent Venture India (EIV) developed the 2.5MW Kattimuruchchana biomass plant, in Kattimuruchchana, Thirappane, Anuradhapura district. The project company was Helios-Thirappane Biopower Project Pvt. Ltd. The project held a generation license with Ceylon Electricity Board in 2012. Commissioning of the plant was expected in April 2012. Total project cost was estimated at Rs. 380 million (US$3.0 million).
