Description | In January of 2005, China Evergreen Environmental Corp.'s wholly owned subsidiary Evergreen Asset Group Ltd. signed a 22-year concession contract with the municipal government of Henan province to purchase and operate two watewater treatment plants. The facilities processed 130,000 cubic meters per day of industrial and municipal waste water with a municipal water recovery component of 80,000 cubic meters per day. Evergreen Asset Group purchased 100% of the two plants. The project reached financial close when China Evergreen completed a private share placement in September of 2005. Total investment for the two projects was US$7.7 million, which was expected to generate annual pre tax profit of US$2.35 million per annum. |
