Heqi No. 1 is China's first industrial-use nuclear energy steam supply project located at the Tianwan Nuclear Power Station (TNPS) in Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province. It produces 4.8 million tons of zero-carbon steam annually for the petrochemical base of Lianyungang City, reducing coal combustion and carbon emissions. The project uses multi-stage heat exchange technology to produce industrial steam at temperatures above 260°C, marking the first project worldwide to produce industrial steam at such a scale using nuclear power.
