HERIZON is a transnational project dedicated to empowering women in sports by breaking down barriers in field hockey and ensuring safe, inclusive environments. The initiative promotes equal opportunities through school awareness campaigns, training programs for coaches, and strong safeguarding policies to protect young athletes from discrimination and abuse. By sharing best practices, developing safeguarding guidelines, and fostering international exchanges, HERIZON equips sports organizations with the tools to create gender-inclusive spaces. A key highlight is the Triangular International Tournament, bringing together young female athletes from different countries to compete, learn, and build confidence. Aligned with EU gender equality goals and Erasmus+ priorities, HERIZON is more than just a sports project; it’s a movement to ensure every girl has the right to play, lead, and thrive in a safe and supportive sports environment.
