The project aims to supply carbon-free electricity to the Tennessee Valley Authority grid, supporting decarbonization efforts for Google's data centers in Tennessee and Alabama. The construction approach includes factory-built modular components fabricated in Albuquerque and assembled on-site in Oak Ridge, leveraging lessons from the adjacent Hermes 1 test reactor. |
