Description
Description | On May 26, 1994, the Mexican state of Sonora, through its Comision del Agua Potable y Alcantarillado del Estado Sonora (COAPAES), awarded a 15 year build, own and transfer contract for a wastewater treatment plant in the city of Hermosillo to private Mexican company Grupo Protexa. The plant was intended to treat some 2.5 cubic meters of water per second. The project was expected to cost some 200 million new pesos ($24.7 million). Some 70 percent of the project financing was to be achieved from loans, and 30 percent from sponsor’s equity. Project information comes from a fax sent on March 16, 1998, by Luis Fernando Barroso of Protexa to Giselle Silva (PPI). |
