Description

Description

This project consists of separating existing storm and wastewater sewer system and replacing the potable water lines on a section of Adelaide Street, from Renfrew to East End, in the Town of Heron Bay (formerly Dalhousie), New Brunswick. The current system in this section is dated and undersized and has experienced many failures over the past few years. The existing 420 metres of storm and wastewater sewer will be separated and result in a dedicated wastewater sewer, along with 410 metre of new dedicated storm water sewer. The road infrastructure will be reinstated to its original state, and the fire hydrants will be replaced. This project will provide the Town of Heron Bay with increased capacity to manage wastewater and storm water, as well as increased access to potable water. The project will also address safety concerns related to the water pressure currently not being sufficient for the fire hydrants.
