High Park Nature Centre Renovation

The project will rehabilitate the existing High Park Forest School building in Toronto, Ontario to become a nature and visitor centre for High Park. The work will include renovations, addressing structural damages and upgrades, pest control, installing various mechanical, electrical and emergency systems, upgrading the building to modern building codes, accessibility compliance and features, geothermal heating and cooling and landscaping. The project will improve access to community and recreational infrastructure by providing additional space for Nature Centre programs that serve 14,000 participants yearly, seniors, adults and children alike. Additionally, the project will improve the quality of community and recreational infrastructure by providing a much needed visitor centre for High Park, which receives over $1.5 million visitors annually.
