Description | The project will begin by tying to existing sidewalk section located south of Highpoint Road at Liberty Point Elementary School and continue east over Deep Creek connecting to another existing south sidewalk section. The pedestrian bridge opening will be equal or greater than the existing bridge structure opening, therefore preventing any constraints that would prevent backwater conditions. The proposed sidewalk project will connect existing sidewalk sections along Highpoint Road providing a safer route for pedestrians to travel. Both elements of the proposed project can he built under traffic with normal traffic control maintenance in place for construction along a two lane roadway. The posted speed limit along this section of Highpoint Road is 35 MPH. |
