HS1 Ltd has the 30 year concession to own and operate High Speed 1 (formerly the Channel Tunnel Rail Link), the UK’s first section of high speed rail, as well as the stations along the route: St Pancras International, Stratford International, Ebbsfleet International and Ashford International.High Speed 1 is the rail line between St Pancras in London and the Channel Tunnel and connects with the international high-speed routes between London and Paris, and London and Brussels.HS1 is responsible for the operations, maintenance, and renewal of the track and associated infrastructure, as well as the four stations served by the route.  In 2016, HS1 handled over 75,000 train services and its principal customers, London and South Eastern Railway and Eurostar, carried over 20 million passengers.
