Description | The project involved painting a mural on the High Street water tower in Downtown Longview, Texas, made possible by a $90,000 grant from the Texas Commission on the Arts. The artwork was designed by Holly Forbes and painted by professional painters hired through Hayes Engineering Incorporated. The project also included draining and repairing the inside of the 1 million gallon water tank as part of a rehabilitation effort done every 20 to 25 years. The mural represents Longview's arts, music, theater, and history, and the project was completed with the tank refilled and the mural finished as the final touch. |
