Highland Park Mixed-Use Development

under planning

Minnesota Ryan Companies US, Inc. is planning to create an extensive mixed-use development in the Highland Park neighborhood of Saint Paul. It will include 3,800 housing units (760 of which are expected to be affordable), 265,000-sq-ft of office space, 150,000-sq-ft of retail and service space, 50,000-sq-ft of civic and institutional space, and a solar power array. It will also include four new parks and the preservation of two Little League ballfields. The 122-acre site formerly belonged to Ford, which produced cars there from 1925 to 2011. Weidner Apartment Homes will partner with Ryan to develop the market rate units, while CommonBond Communities and Project for Pride in Living will support the delivery of the affordable units. Construction is expected to start in September 2020.
