Highpoint Health Sumner Station Hospital Expansion

Highpoint Health's Sumner Station campus in Sumner County is undergoing a $59.3 million expansion project. The expansion will add an eight-bed inpatient pediatric unit, sixteen inpatient medical and telemetry beds, a four-bed intensive care unit, a cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology lab, two operating rooms with supporting surgical services, an endoscopy suite, and expanded pharmacy, laboratory, dietary, and environmental services. This project aims to bring advanced cardiac care, surgical capabilities, and more inpatient services closer to home, reduce the need for patients to travel outside the community for treatment, improve emergency response capabilities, and create new job opportunities.
