Description | The province of Nova Scotia has issued a request for proposals for an upcoming highway improvement project in the Halifax area. The project involves identifying future corridors and producing preliminary design work for Highway 102 between Exits 0 and 4, including upgrades to interchanges connecting the highway with Highway 101, Highway 107, Hammonds Plains Road, and Kearney Lake Road. The project also aims to improve 20 kilometres of highway between Highway 107 and Bayers Road focusing on safety and efficiency, and to create areas along the corridor for more than 25,000 housing units over the next few decades. Early planning work has begun, including traffic data collection, environmental screening, archaeological investigations, and 3D modeling. |
