The objective of the proposed operation is to improve the quality of road infrastructure to support the development of investments and sustainable growth of the country. The specific objectives include: (i) contribute to the financing of a fraction of the annual investments plans in rehabilitation and maintenance of highways, bridges and local roads; (ii) supporting the establishment and consolidation of a sustainable mechanism that guarantees the permanent maintenance of the road network and local roads; and (iii) to support the equipment and commissioning of a system of control of weights and measures to protect the road infrastructure.
