Highways BR-153/414/080/TO/GO concession

The concession contract will have a term of 35 years and will consist of the exploration of the infrastructure and the provision of public service of recovery, conservation, maintenance, operation, implementation of improvements and expansion of the capacity of the BR-153, already considered one of the main highways of national integration of Brazil. The stretch is the main connection between the states of Tocantins, Maranhão, Pará and Amapá with the central-south region of the country. BRL 14 billion ($ 2.564 billion) will be invested, between duplications and improvements in road safety (BRL 7.8 billion) and the contracting of user services (BRL 6.2 billion), in a relevant route for agribusiness linking the North and South. The expectation is that, over the course of the contract, around 120,000 new jobs will be generated - direct, indirect and income-effect. Total lenght of the concession is 623.3 KM. Sponsor of the project is Ecovias Araguaia.
