Description | The A428 upgrade project aims to transform one of the busiest road links in the East of England, saving commuters up to 90 minutes on their journeys every week. The project involves constructing a new 10-mile dual carriageway linking the Black Cat roundabout in Bedfordshire to the Caxton Gibbet roundabout in Cambridgeshire, upgrading both roundabouts into modern, free-flowing junctions, and adding a new junction at Cambridge Road near St Neots. The project will replace the only remaining section of single carriageway between Milton Keynes and Cambridge, addressing congestion hotspots in the region. |
