Description

Description

Hikma Pharmaceuticals PLC (“Hikma” or the “Company” or together with its subsidiaries “the Group”) is a pharmaceutical company incorporated in the United Kingdom (UK) and listed on the London Stock Exchange. While the Group was founded in Jordan in 1978, Hikma has expanded its footprint with successful operations across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, North America and Europe with 29 manufacturing plants in 10 countries. Hikma is a long-standing IFC client since 1987 whereby support was primarily provided for the Company’s investments in the MENA region.IFC provided a financing package (the “Financing Package”) to Hikma Finance USA LLC (the “Borrower”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Hikma. Proceeds of the IFC Loan (as defined below) and the Bond (as defined below) which, for the avoidance of doubt, is limited to IFC’s subscription of US$50 million in the Bond, will be used to support the Company’s general corporate purposes including acquisitions, capital expenditure, working capital needs, and any investment in research and development in the Middle East region, as well as debt refinancing of the Group (the “Project”).
