Description | The Hillsboro Solar Power Plant is a 200 MW solar power project being developed in Hill County, Texas. The project involves the construction of a solar power plant that will generate approximately 476 GWh of electricity annually, enough to power about 46,000 U.S. households. Hyundai Engineering has secured $310 million in project financing from a consortium of four lenders to fund the project. Construction is scheduled to begin in the first half of 2026, with commercial operation targeted for the end of 2027. This project marks the first time a Korean builder has directly led the entire process of an overseas renewable energy project, including acquiring project rights, permits, power purchase agreements, and financing. |
