Description | Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has proposed to construct a Rs 185-crore embankment to protect the international cricket stadium at Morti, Aero City, and Harnandipuram township from rising water levels of the Hindon river. The embankment will also support a 7-km, six-lane road from the City Forest area to Farukhnagar, creating an additional access road to the stadium and securing it from floods. The embankment design will be done by IIT for Rs 2 crore, with another Rs 2 crore allocated for the DPR. This project is part of GDA's traffic circulation plan to ease vehicle movement around the stadium. |
